Who is responsible
Amoleo is a sole trader operation run by Luke Bickley in the United Kingdom, and is the data controller for this site. You can reach us at the address published on this page (JavaScript required).
What this site collects
This is a static site. It has no accounts, no forms and no database. There is nowhere for you to give us personal data, and we do not ask for any.
Two things nevertheless happen when you visit:
- Server and network logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and to protect the site from attack. This is necessary for the site to work and to stay available, and is done on the basis of our legitimate interests.
- Analytics, but only if you agree. If you accept analytics cookies we load Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics. This tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where in the world they are. It does not tell us who you are.
Cookies
No analytics cookie is set, and no analytics script is downloaded, unless you press Accept on the banner. Declining means nothing is loaded at all — not loaded-then-ignored.
One item of local storage is always used: your cookie choice itself, stored
under cookieConsent so you are not asked on every page. It is
strictly necessary for honouring your decision and does not require consent.
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings in the footer, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Who your data is shared with
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and delivers the site. Google Ireland Limited provides Tag Manager and Analytics, and only if you have consented. Both may process data outside the UK and EEA; both operate under the transfer safeguards required by UK GDPR. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else.
How long it is kept
Cloudflare’s logs are short-lived and held under its own retention policy. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months from your last visit. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to how it is used, or withdraw consent you have given. Because this site keeps no records that identify you, in practice there is usually nothing for us to retrieve — but ask, and we will tell you honestly what exists.
Write to the address published on this page (JavaScript required). If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
If what we do with analytics changes materially, the consent banner will ask again rather than assuming your previous answer still applies.
